Come along and be inspired by a collection of talks which explore the power of an entrepreneurial community, involving success stories from in and around Bournemouth.

The evening will introduce you to local resources and like-minded people, including a chance to network.

Dr Nasiru Taura, Bournemouth University

Delving into the myth of the lone-hero entrepreneur, Dr Taura will illustrate the disconnect between these entrepreneurs and the vibrant communities they could be part of. His talk will introduce a transformative solution advocating for Community-Based Entrepreneurship (CBE), with a focus on Dorset, concluding with a powerful call to action.

Mike Coggan and Steve Garay, Grizzly Productions

Mike and Steve will be talking about passion projects. As streaming platforms usher in a golden era for documentaries, Grizzly is creating feature-length films to open new doors. They will talk about how this is beneficial for their commercial work, as they move from a standard video-production company, into storytellers lead by their deepest passions.

Daniel Cox, Arts University Bournemouth (AUB)

Since 2016 AUB has been engaging businesses to encourage experimentation, enabling growth and sustainability. From working with pre-startups to test their ideas and giving established companies space to play with new technologies. Daniel will use 3 case studies to explore the principles and mechanics of how AUB’s Innovation Studio is contributing to Dorset’s entrepreneurial communities.
